Background
Kathy Yang, Chief Campus Operations Officer and Head of AI Software Business at Foxconn, has been named among the world’s most influential business leaders in the Fortune Most Powerful Women in Business 2026 list. Yang ranked 19th among the top 100 women executives and was the only representative from Taiwan featured in this year’s ranking.
The annual list recognizes women who are driving business growth, innovation, and leadership across industries. This year’s ranking includes leaders from 20 countries and territories representing 94 companies, highlighting the growing impact of women in global business.
Yang was also one of 16 newcomers on the list and among 50 women executives working at Fortune Global 500 companies. The recognition reflects her leadership role at Foxconn, one of the world’s largest electronics manufacturing and technology solutions companies.
According to the company, Yang viewed the recognition as an encouragement for women professionals and a reflection of Foxconn’s efforts to support leadership development and talent growth. She emphasized the importance of nurturing talent alongside maintaining technological leadership.
The ranking comes as technology and finance remain the strongest sectors represented on the list, with 27 and 26 executives, respectively. The rising power of artificial intelligence is also playing an important part in enhancing the significance of women leaders in deciding the technological future.
Yang has held various senior posts in her nearly two decades at Foxconn. Her duties at Foxconn include managing the company’s logistics, regulatory compliance, and AI business operations. Yang joined Foxconn as the first woman executive in 2025 to become its rotating CEO.
This ranking was generated based on parameters such as business performance, influence, innovation, leadership growth, and contribution to improving the business environment.
