Background :
In the second week of May, Chicago will welcome entrepreneurs, CEOs, academics and policy makers from across the world to the 3rd Millennium Women’s Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Wellness Conference (WEL).
The two-day conference makes Chicago a destination for women’s leadership in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and wellness. In designing the conference, a goal was to promote inter-sectoral communication between the fields of business, academia and wellness.
Innovation and entrepreneurship are key to the conference. The conference sessions will explore start-up ecosystems and challenges of funding, using technology and business models that can scale to support women-owned businesses. These will offer solutions that will enable the participants to develop their organizations as well as lead them towards digital transformation. The health element will be incorporated in this year’s leadership conference because good health – both mental, emotional, and physical – is critical in the development of great leaders. Stress management, integration of work-life balance, and leadership resilience will form part of the sessions.
The other aspect of the conference will include networking, where participants will be able to network with global business and investment professionals, among others. This engagement seeks to foster long-term business connections and opportunities.
In addition, abstracts are invited for the conference topics. Researchers will have their work published in the Universal Journal of Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership, gaining valuable academic and professional exposure.
According to organisers, the conference will shape global leadership through the encouragement of gender equality, innovation and economic advancement through diverse and forward-looking views.
