Misba Yousaf, founder of Aura Clarity, was selected for her work in building a purpose-led business that supports people living with migraine, light sensitivity, and other neurological and sensory conditions. She founded the company in 2023 after drawing on her own experience with chronic migraine and light sensitivity.

The #IAlso100 campaign celebrates 100 women in the UK who run successful businesses and make a positive difference in their communities. It highlights female founders who drive growth, innovation and social impact in many sectors.

Aura Clarity makes science-based eyewear that helps reduce discomfort from light. The brand also works to raise awareness of invisible illnesses and promotes greater understanding of migraine and neurodiversity. Through her work, Yousaf has positioned Aura Clarity as a brand focused on both wellbeing and inclusion.

Speaking about the recognition, Yousaf said the award was deeply meaningful. She said her goal has always been to combine science, comfort, and style to help people live and work more comfortably. She added that being recognised alongside other women founders showed how personal experience can lead to meaningful innovation.

Small Business Britain launched the f:Entrepreneur campaign in 2017 to shine a light on the role of female entrepreneurs in the UK economy and to provide visible role models for aspiring business owners.

Michelle Ovens, founder and chief executive of Small Business Britain, praised Yousaf’s achievement. She said the women featured in this year’s list show strong leadership and creativity and play an important role in driving economic growth while making a positive impact on society.
