Background:

Irish health-tech start-up Linda AI has raised €2.6 million in pre-seed funding to support the expansion of its voice-based service built for dental practices.

The investment round was led by 6 Degrees Capital, with backing from other early-stage investors. The company was founded by Irish sisters India and Portia Healy O’Connor, together with Lucio Tudisco, and operates out of Dublin and London.

Linda AI was created to solve a common issue in dental clinics, missed phone calls and lost appointments when reception teams are overwhelmed or unavailable. The platform answers patient calls during busy periods or after hours, helping clinics manage bookings without distracting staff from patient care.

India Healy O’Connor, chief executive of Linda AI, said many missed appointments happen simply because clinics lack the capacity to answer every call. She explained that the service ensures calls are handled when reception desks are under pressure, allowing dental teams to stay focused on treating patients.

Linda AI is currently in use at more than 50 dental clinics across Ireland and the UK. Clinics using the service report higher booking levels, fewer missed appointments, and reduced administrative workload for reception teams.

The new funding will be used to grow the company’s engineering and sales teams and to expand the service to more dental practices in both countries.

The founders said their idea was shaped by growing up around their father’s medical practice, where they saw the daily challenges faced by healthcare clinics.

Christina Franzeskides of 6 Degrees Capital said dental practices are well-suited to voice-based systems due to strong patient demand and limited front-desk capacity. She added that Linda AI fits easily into existing clinic operations and helps practices increase revenue without replacing staff.

As clinics continue to look for ways to improve efficiency, Linda AI aims to play a growing role in improving how dental practices handle patient communication.
