Well known for its inspiring and engaging content, Education View India is pleased to feature Yashwardhini Chauhan, Founder, Colours of Hope, a Special Education Needs Centre.

She built this project on a mission to provide the learning, understanding and individualized learning space these children deserve. Her approach closes the learning loopholes and demystifies special education and creates a culture of empowering parents as well as their kids.
Through Colours of Hope, she is changing lives by encouraging inclusivity and giving every child the opportunity to thrive. Through alliances with community schools, medical professionals, and campaigning groups, she builds a strong support framework for families who at times have become alienated or Royally overlooked.
Yashwardhini Chauhan dreams of a world where special children are not only accommodated but also empowered with the facilities and equipment to use to achieve their fullest potential. She dreams of a world where every child is equipped with their own needs, tapping their potential that education most often leaves them short of. Her work does not merely reach to the children themselves. She is also committed to their caregivers’ welfare and knowing how much hardship they face by having parent groups both online and offline.
She is building a sustainable model at Colours of Hope that not only meets the needs of the children and their families but is also foraging ahead in scholastic achievement with emotional balance and a healthy life. In building a society of diversity and inclusiveness, Yashwardhini Chauhan is inspiring children and families to develop together to revolutionize the special education model in India, family by family.
As a school counselor, Yashwardhini Chauhan saw firsthand how the great need for support outstripped the resources available, which led her to start the Center. Because their sensory and social difficulties were not understood, many children were misdiagnosed as having behavioral problems. She had a great deal of empathy for families dealing with these challenges because she was a psychologist and the mom of a child with special needs.
