Shelley Sheagley, Senior Vice President of Product and Pricing at Aurora Parts & Accessories, has been honored with the second annual Women in Leadership Award at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW). The award was presented on Tuesday during the event’s opening general session in Grapevine, Texas.

Sheagley received the honour from Cummins executives Jason Soika and Tony Nastali, who won the inaugural Women in Leadership Award in 2025. Organizers noted a strong rise in nominations this year, with over 30 women nominated for the award, underscoring the increasing impact of female leaders in the independent aftermarket industry.

Sheagley thanked her peers for nominating her and showed gratitude to her colleagues and friends who supported her throughout her career. She said she felt honoured to stand before a room filled with women in leadership roles and noted how the industry has changed over the years.

Sheagley recalled entering the aftermarket sector when women were far fewer in number and said she is encouraged by how much the industry has evolved. She thanked early mentors Jane Orr and Emily Poladian for their guidance and acknowledged the many women in the audience who continue to shape the sector.

She also praised companies across the industry for widening their talent pools and creating opportunities for women. According to Sheagley, the long-term success of the independent aftermarket depends on building a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Having worked at Aurora Parts & Accessories for 22 years, Sheagley has witnessed significant progress within the company. She noted that women hold three of the company’s seven executive roles, along with several leadership positions across teams.

She concluded by thanking her Aurora colleagues, saying her nomination reflected the strength of her team. “Thank you for this honour,” she said. “I truly appreciate it.”
