Background
More than 200 women leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and policymakers came together in Dar es Salaam over the weekend for the second edition of the Women Shaping the Future 2026 conference. Held at the Hyatt Regency, the event was organised by Studiored Communications and themed “Build Wealth. Build Power”, focusing on helping women build long-term financial security.
The conference included expert sessions, panel talks, and Wealth Salons where participants got practical advice on insurance, investments, and financial planning. Speakers discussed topics like treasury bonds, shares, and investment funds to help women learn how to grow and protect their money.
SRC Co-Founder and Managing Partner Doris Rwebangira said that many women earn money but often do not have plans to keep and grow it over time. She said long-term financial stability needs proper planning and the ability to handle economic challenges.
Stanbic Bank Tanzania served as the main title partner for the event, with Alliance Life Assurance, UTT Asset Management, Tanzania Securities Limited and Air Tanzania Corporation also contributing specialist sessions. Ester Manase, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Stanbic Bank Tanzania, said the bank saw the conference as an opportunity to explore wealth creation options with women business clients.
At one of the workshops, investment expert Emilian Busara advised participants to invest their money wisely instead of keeping it unused. According to him, smart investments can help build long-term financial security.
The WSF 2026 conference is part of SRC’s wider Invested In Series, which aims to help women turn their goals into action through practical discussions and reliable guidance.
